<p>This is very difficult for me to include, because this website isn't about me. Nonetheless, a friend suggested people have the right to know who's behind this work. So... Here's a snippet about me and why I put this website together.</p>

<p>I was born in Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada and raised in Taber, 30 miles east of Lethbridge. I served a two year mission for my church in what was then called the Ohio West Virginia Mission. It was changed to the Ohio Columbus Mission shortly after I arrived and has since been divided a few times. I now reside in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada and have a wonderful wife and 8 children. I've had a rich full life and there are many things I could tell you about myself, but as I said, that's not what this site is about. I want you to know what I know about my Savior and hope you'll come to experience the peace there is in His Infinite Atonement.</p>
<p>At one time, I produced and hosted a television program that explored the different tenets of various churches in Canada. The premise was, you can't trust a Baptist to tell you about the Catholics and you can't trust a Catholic to tell you about Jehovah Witnesses. If you want to know what someone believes, talk to THEM! If you want to know about Baha'u'llah, ask a Bahai. If you want to know about L. Ron Hubbard, ask a Scientologist. If you want to know about Joseph Smith, ask a Latter-day Saint!</p>
<p>The program was very successful and ran for several years after I left television. But, while I was doing the show interviewing all the different religious leaders, particularily those professing to be among the most devout of Christians, I found very few had even an elementary understanding of the Atonement of Christ. They didn't have the answers I was blessed to have grown up with. I thank my father for that. He taught me well. He didn't leave my education entirely up to the church. His testimony and example were a vital force in my life. He served a mission. I served a mission. My sons served missions. <H3><em><b>Why This Website...</b></em></H3>
<p>Not long ago, a man I know to be an <a a onmouseover="Tip('The calling of an apostle is to be a special witness of the name of Jesus Christ in all the world, particularly of his divinity and of his bodily resurrection from the dead.', BALLOON, true, ABOVE, true, CENTERMOUSE, true, OFFSETX, 0, PADDING, 8)" onmouseout="UnTip()"><em>Apostle</em></a>, Elder M. Russell Ballard, encouraged us to get out there, especially on the internet, and tell our own story rather than allow others define who we are. After thinking about what I could do, the phrase "Atonement of Christ" came to mind. Surprise was a mild term to describe how I felt when I discovered that phrase hadn't been used as a domain name for a website. As quickly as I could, I logged on to the internet and secured "atonementofchrist.com" along with as many options as I could, to make certain every possible road led to this site. In very short order, this website materialized so effortlessly, I'm tempted to claim I had nothing whatever to do with it. It just poured out of me like a huge barrel of water being tipped over. I did not do this alone. I was guided, coached and prompted by friends, and associates, and I'm sure of this - the Holy Ghost.</p>
<p>From the moment "atonementofchrist.com" went live, I've been refining it, wherever necessary. As soon as I discover a syntax or grammatical error, I try to correct it. I want to make it as easy to understand as possible.
